FISH Research

At Franciscan, research is not just reserved for a select few.  Nearly 70% of Franciscan undergraduate science and engineering students participate in mentored-research-an essential prerequisite for admission and success in graduate school, medical school and the scientific workforce.

With numerous on-campus faculty-led research projects and summer internships you will have a wealth of opportunities to choose from.  Our faculty are committed to helping you thoroughly understand concepts learned in the classroom through direct application in the laboratory.

With the goal of providing hands-on research opportunities for every science and engineering student, we look forward working with you to fulfill your vocational aspirations by providing necessary applied skill sets.

Faculty Mentorship: Doing, Designing, Discovering

At Franciscan, your research experience will be mentored directly by a faculty member. That means you won’t just be getting your hands wet in the lab, but you’ll also get direct guidance in presenting scientific discoveries through local and national scientific conferences—experiences that will help you make professional and academic connections that will last a lifetime.
