The Academy of Lifelong Learning

Welcome to the new season of the Academy of Lifelong Learning.

The Academy of Lifelong Learning’s primary purpose is to provide a venue for the offering of group study on topics selected by the membership and approved by the lead administrator of Community Relations and Franciscan University of Steubenville’s governing officials. Emphasis is on a peer-led, peer-taught learning opportunity. Some members will exercise study group leadership while others will actively participate in research and presentation during the course of each study group. Study groups may be augmented with planned social activities, lectures, trips, and other events of significant membership interest. Opportunity for informal member interaction is provided in designated Franciscan University of Steubenville facilities, or at off-site locations as indicated by the course of study.

Opportunities

The six-week long semesters are offered twice a year; one in the Spring and one in the Fall. You must be a member to go on any trips planned by the Academy of Lifelong Learning. There is a $60 membership fee per person per semester, and enables the member to attend any and all classes being offered during the semester. The fee for a married couple will be $100. Membership fees are due before classes begin.

Phyllis Kolopajlo from Prime Time will be at the March 12th Open House to present information and brochures on the two trips being offered.
